Product Overview

SIGLENT's SDS7000A series Digital Storage Oscilloscopes are available in bandwidths of 6 GHz,4 GHz and 3 GHz, have 12-bit ADCs with sample rate up to 20 GSa/s, maximum record length of 1Gpts/ch, and display up to 4 analog channels + 16 digital channels for high performance mixed signal analysis.

The SDS7000A series employs Siglent's SPO technology with a maximum waveform capture rate of up to 1,000,000 wfm/ s, 256-level intensity grading display function plus a color temperature display mode.

It also employs an innovative digital trigger system with high sensitivity and low jitter. The trigger system supports multiple powerful triggering modes including serial bus triggering.

Tools such as History waveform recording, Search and Navigate functions, Signal Scan, Mask Test, Bode Plot, Power Analysis, Eye/Jitter Analysis and Compliance Test allow for extended waveform records to be captured, stored, and analyzed.

An impressive array of measurement and math capabilities, options for a 50 MHz arbitrary waveform generator, as well as serial decoding are also features of the SDS7000A .

The large 15.6'' HD display capacitive touch screen supports multi-touch gestures, with the addition of user-friendly UI design, can greatly improve the operational efficiency. It also supports mouse control, and remote web control over LAN.

Dingyang Technology's SDS7000A series oscilloscopes have introduced 2.5G/5G/10GBase-T Ethernet electrical consistency analysis functions, supporting multiple test items including maximum output droop, transmitter timing jitter, power spectral density, MDI return loss, and more, ensuring that the tested devices meet IEEE standard requirements.

The SDS7000A's 2.5G/5G/10GBase-T test items include: Maximum output drop, transmitter timing jitter - master mode, transmitter clock frequency, transmitter linearity, transmitter non-linear distortion (only for 2.5GBase-T), power testing, MDI return loss, transmitter timing jitter - slave mode.




Real-time Spectrum Analysis

The SDS7000A oscilloscope integrates RTSA functionality and supports real-time spectrum analyzer (RTSA) and digital down conversion (DDC) features in spectrum analysis mode. It also includes signal analysis software SigVSA, which can directly analyze the output data from DDC. The supported signal types range from simple BPSK to complex wideband signals, such as 4G LTE, 5G NR, IEEE802.11b/a/g/n/ac/ax/be, and 4096QAM. It features density plots, spectrum monitoring, 3D plots, 3D spectrum monitoring, and density plot spectrum monitoring display modes, addressing the needs for simultaneous time-frequency domain analysis in wireless communications, the Internet of Things, and high-speed digital circuits while reducing equipment costs.



MIPI-DPHY Protocol Conformance Analysis

MIPI-DPHY, as the core interface standard for mobile device cameras and displays, enables efficient transmission of image data. Its protocol conformance analysis must be conducted using professional testing tools to ensure signal integrity and system stability. The Dingyang Technology SDS7000A oscilloscope currently supports MIPI-DPHY conformance testing, covering the CTS 1.0 protocol specification, and can analyze HS-TX/LP-TX signaling for data/clock channels.The SDS7000A accurately captures high-speed signal details using a 12-bit high-resolution ADC and ≥4 GHz bandwidth, combined with a 5 GHz active differential probe to verify the electrical performance of MIPI interfaces, and integrates an eye diagram function to assess signal quality. This testing process can automatically configure parameters and generate test reports, making it suitable for diverse application scenarios such as in-vehicle displays and mobile device cameras, aiding engineers in validating MIPI-DPHY interface compliance and accelerating product R&D and mass production processes.



Eye diagram and jitter analysis assist signal integrity analysis

Eye diagram analysis, as the core of signal integrity analysis for high-speed systems, can reflect the overall characteristics of the digital signals transmitted over the signal link, allowing for the observation of inter-symbol interference and noise impacts, thereby assessing the quality of the system. Jitter analysis can measure various jitter parameters of the signal and decompose jitter based on TIE data, providing temporal and spectral analysis of different jitter components. The 8 GHz bandwidth enables eye diagram and jitter analysis to meet more testing scenarios, such as testing LVDS and MIPI signals.



Protocol Conformance Analysis (Optional)

Supports protocol conformance testing for USB2.0, 100Base-TX, 1000Base-T, 2.5 G/5 G/10 G Base-T, 100Base-T1, 1000Base-T1, MIPI-DPHY, DDR2/DDR3, etc. In conjunction with the corresponding test fixtures, users only need to set up the environment as prompted, and the oscilloscope and related instruments will be automatically configured, allowing for appropriate measurement, computation, decoding, and other functions to be executed for testing. This helps users quickly and efficiently complete various testing projects and automatically generate reports.
